Giving a fiery spirit a fiery voice
Ancho Reyes is a rare thing in the spirits world: a brand with a genuinely extraordinary origin story. Born in the cantinas of Puebla's Barrio del Artista, where Mexico's post-revolutionary artists and intellectuals gathered to exchange ideas over handcrafted menjurjes, this first-of-its-kind chile liqueur carried deep cultural roots, a complex and fiery character, and a flavor profile unlike anything else on the shelf. What it needed was a voice worthy of that heritage — one as bold and layered as the liquid itself.
Hired by the lead branding agency to develop that voice from the ground up, the work drew on the creative energy and intellectual swagger of that original cantina scene to craft a brand essence that functioned as a rallying cry for bold exploration of a truly different drinking experience. The resulting voice framework gave the broader marketing team a consistent, confident foundation to build from as the brand grew its following among discerning bartenders and drinkers worldwide.
